AAF’s Official Insta has been popping off lately with news updates coming in daily. From new shows, new music and a full tour announcement coming soon, it sure is an exciting time for Ant Fan’s.
In addition to the shows sprinkled throughout the summer the guys have added another date Supporting Sublime with Rome at this years Speaking Rock Festival in El Paso, Texas on Saturday 10th September.
Other than a cryptic Insta-story from David ‘Buttons’ Cobb showing a picture of drumsticks, plectrums and leads on the floor with hashtag’s #newmusic & #comingsoon no other information was given but it confirms the guys are cooking up something tasty in the studio. Ant Farm played their second show of 2022 on Friday 24th June at Yaamava Casino & Resort located in Highland, CA. Another 18 song strong setlist, playing all the hits spanning their 26 year career. Fan footage posted on social media showed a visually stunning show thanks to the many screens hanging on the wall and ceiling in the venue displaying the bands logo and cool FX. The guys are also sounding on top form during these short run of shows, if you are planning on going to one of the remaining shows you are in for a treat.
One of the many highlights from the show was when Christina from Kaleido got up on the stage to help sing Glow with Dryden. Being friends of the band the collab felt natural and spread positive vibes throughout the audience. Check out the video below:
Mike, Dry and Terry will be joining Patrick & 4orty on 96.7 KCAL Rocks breakfast show this Wednesday (22nd June) morning around 9:30am Cali time. Today (15th June) Marks Alien Ant Farm’s vocalist, Dryden Mitchell’s birthday so lets all wish Dry a huge happy birthday. Today also marks the 26th anniversary of AAF’s first ever show. It’s no secret that both bands are currently working on new material but could AAF and Dredg be heading out on the road together? Rumour has it that a US & UK tour is in the works and dates could be announced as soon as this summer. It is all speculation at the moment but the Alien Ant Fans page will keep you posted as soon as more news drops.
Last weekend Alien Ant Farm took to the stage in front of an audience for the first time in over 2 years because well Rona. AAF headlined this years horror themed festival called Fear Faire which took place at the Rio Casino in Las Vegas and from the footage posted online it looks like the guys put on one hell of a performance. Fans who attended the show were definitely spoilt as Ant Farm blasted out a mammoth 18 song setlist.
