Check out the song Godlike from the new album, it’s up on Loudwire.
Long time since the last news post but there wasn’t anything new AAF related to post about… until now:
The album is officially almost halfway mixed. This is the slowest, most hurdle-ridden process we have ever been a part of in our near 20 years as a band. The people, entities and the components involved in the creation of this cursed record have continuously tripped us up, held us down and kicked most of the life out of our little band. We are very lucky to have any fight left in us and the only thing that might be saving the day is how good these mixed songs sound. Regardless of the seemingly constant bad luck, never ending problems and shady people trying to fade us, we never had any problem making music together. Me, Mike, Dry and Tye. Antfarm songs in Antfarm style. We write em for us and all of you. Not a label dude that’s hung up on how the kick sound from the new Flo-Rida song is gonna make us #1 (True story). So, please know, we are dredging through the very worse case scenarios any band could hope to avoid, on top of families, babies and health issues. However, we will push this fat evil baby of a record out if it destroys us and our band. Not much longer…… Hang in there…… Thanks for your patience.
So keep on waiting Ant Farm fans, new album is just around the corner!!! 🙂

Here’s a couple of words on AAF’s Greatest Hits from 1999:
I have so many fond memories of recoding Greatest Hits. I’m sure the other guys do too. We were really growing at that time. Jim Wirt (Incubus, Fiona Apple, Brian Setzer) Produced that record, and basically shaped us into quite crafty songwriters. I will forever love him for showing me how to roll with a song. A singer bobbing in a lake of melody, and just rolling with it. A great friend, Miguel Martinez also helped mix and create that record with us. He has long since past away, but we all think of him as if he was still with us. Miguel risked his job for that record. He worked as an assistant at a wonderful studio in Los Angeles. When the studio closed for the night, we would be parked around the block and he would call us after everyone had left, and we would basically sneak in and work on the songs. For quite a few nights we did this same maneuver, and it was scary and a lot of fun at the same time. We would work until the morning, and basically have to put the mixing board back to where it was before we got there. I mean EVERY SINGLE BUTTON AND KNOB ON THAT BOARD WAS PUT BACK TO WHERE IT WAS THE NIGHT BEFORE. We would hug and go home, and Miguel would basically drive around the block, Just to pull back into the studio to open for his boss, like nothing had ever happened. He believed in us. He was one of us. I Love him for so many reasons, but that’s a good one right there. Greatest Hits… It Hits me… Right in the heart – Dryden
